Senior Manager, Solutions Delivery
The Senior Manager, Solutions Delivery is an experienced technologist who leads the delivery, quality, budget, estimation, and management of multiple technology programs at Shake Shack. The role is responsible for managing and delivering several technology initiatives across the enterprise supporting both internal and external resources to achieve the program delivery of Shake Shack technology through partnering with business owners, product owners, experience designers, architects, engineers, and support teams to ensure on-time, quality, compliant, and performant applications are released according to agreed up on product roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the end-to-end software delivery process (SDLC), ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of projects within budget and scope to support company strategic plan
Own and communicate project metrics & process (agile and waterfall) to help stakeholders understand what is being delivered when, program status, and improving overall feature delivery – visibility and comms to Director, VP, PMO, and Executive Team Members
Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving issues and obstacles to ensure successful project completion
Establish criteria, process, and strategic direction for ensuring all delivered experiences are of high quality and performant. Create a culture biased towards owning full end to end delivery of quality projects and experiences to effectively deliver towards corporate goals
Manage, mentor, and build a team of FTEs and vendor resources to achieve business and personal career goals.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Broad understanding of various cloud development technologies and trends for enterprise-scale, distributed systems, DevOps practices, multi-tier SOA architecture using OOD: IOS Development -Swift, Android Development, JavaScript etc.
Ability to drive improvements to the software delivery maturity of organization to improve speed, quality, and value of software products.
Experience in effort sizing for work and ability to understand the technical dependencies and mitigating business risks.
Experience in leading technical conversations with third party partners and no be completely dependent on Architects or developers.
Hands-on experience in leading result- oriented Software Delivery execution through a multi- geography team (60+) using Agile methodologies for digital programs.
Strong strategic mindset to align software delivery initiatives with overall business objectives and long-term goals
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, software architecture, and technologies used in web and mobile application development.
Experience working in and establishing Agile and / or Waterfall principals for successful delivery of various projects
Worked previously in an eCommerce, Retail, Hospitality, QSR Domain and/or digital agency
Successful track record of working in cross-functional environments delivering features on digital products on time and budget
Proven experience in managing software delivery projects from initiation to completion, utilizing project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
Experience managing 3rd party vendors – onshore, nearshore, and offshore
Have played Solutions Delivery Manager role for Medium to Large platforms.
Experience working with project management and communication tools like Jira, SmartSheet, Excel, and Powerpoint
